Manisha Tare

Manisha considers herself a student of life and believes that anything we experience on our path is here for our evolution. She has been working in private practice since 2011 in Washington DC supporting clients holistically to integrate mind, body and spirit and re-located to Ashland in the fall of 2018.

The areas in which she primarily supports clients is around finding emotional clarity & an inner sense of relief and peace through healing unresolved experiences and/ or trauma, working through anxiety or overwhelm through nervous system regulation and supporting overall emotional well-being. Her approach includes a combination of craniosacral therapy, energy work, therapeutic dialogue and guided practices to bring a sense of ease and wholeness back into your mind & body.

Manisha has been on a journey from a young age, playing with the yoga poses and meditation on her own in her teens and then beginning a more formal practice in her early 20s. It strongly impacted her life and after completing a formal yoga teacher training, she began teaching yoga in 2009.

As her own work evolved, she began to look at health and wellness differently. Due to a shoulder injury in 2010, she sought out more alternative therapies and deepened her personal experience of healing modalities such as energy healing, acupuncture and craniosacral therapy. It was then that she began to more fully understand the connection between unresolved emotional experiences and how they could show up in our bodies as pain, injury and even illness. Through engaging with a variety of healing modalities, she was able to support her own body’s healing and develop a new relationship with it. It led her to study and practice craniosacral therapy which helped her experience more of the subtle messages our bodies are able to offer us on a moment to moment basis.

As she continued to offer this work, she realized the depth of emotional healing that adults were in need of and how various types of body based practices could help us to communicate with our inner guidance to support physical, emotional and mental health. She offers a variety of ways to work with her through a trauma-informed lens including craniosacral therapy and mind body coaching to help people heal their nervous systems, process emotions they are holding in their bodies, release deeply embedded energetic patterns that are no longer serving them, and feel more grounded and resourced. Her clients often come with physical manifestations of stress, anxiety, feeling emotionally stuck or disconnected from their own sense of inner knowing and intuition. Through their work together, she helps people release old patterns of fear, trauma and anxiety, feel safe in their bodies and step into their lives more authentically.

Manisha holds a BS in occupational therapy from New York University and a Master’s in Public Health from Columbia University. She continues to pursue advanced level training in CranioSacral Therapy and SomatoEmotional Release through the Upledger Institute as well as training with other teachers and mentors to further her skills in trauma informed healing practices. She has completed two 200 hour yoga teacher trainings in the hatha and vinyasa methods and has deepened her skills with additional yoga training in prenatal yoga and yin yoga. In addition to her formal education, Manisha believes that life offers us the lessons we need in order to serve others in the deepest way.
